On The Radar: RSD2019

Record Store Day has been going on for years and years now. However, my earliest memories of it in recent times are around the 2013 ‘vinyl renaissance’. I clearly remember the artists I’d planned to see and the vinyls I’d noted down and dreamed of purchasing on the day itself. I did the early morning wake up calls with the rest of the record store punters and talked with friends about sleeve artwork and limited edition releases. Every year since then, I keep an eye out for special and exclusive releases that will be available on the day and create a sort of ‘wish list’ with the names that stick out to me the most. Those who collect will know that a vinyl collection is a personal and priceless thing to be in possession of. Maybe something in this list will catch your eye and end up contributing to plenty of needle drop moments for you in the years to come.
